Threaded Bolt: A sturdy steel bolt with a machine-threaded shaft, available in lengths ranging from 25mm to 100mm to accommodate different material thicknesses. The bolt head typically features a slotted or Phillips drive for easy installation with a screwdriver.
Spring-Loaded Toggle Wings: Two hinged metal flaps (often called “butterfly wings”) attached to one end of the bolt. These wings are folded flat during insertion and spring open automatically once they pass through the mounting hole, creating a wide, stable base behind the surface.
Washer: A metal washer placed between the bolt head and the object being mounted to distribute pressure, preventing damage to the surface material (e.g., drywall, plaster, or thin wood).
Nut: A matching nut secures the toggle wings in place during installation, ensuring they remain open and locked once positioned behind the surface.
Drill a hole in the target surface (drywall, plasterboard, hollow brick, etc.) with a diameter slightly larger than the folded toggle wings.
Thread the nut onto the bolt, then slide the toggle wings onto the bolt and tighten the nut to hold the wings in the folded position.
Insert the folded wings through the hole until the wings spring open behind the surface.
Pull the bolt back gently to ensure the wings are fully engaged with the inner surface, then tighten the bolt with a screwdriver to secure the object in place.
Residential Use: Perfect for drywall, plaster, hollow doors, or thin wood in homes, apartments, or rental properties.
Commercial Settings: Suitable for mounting signage, fixtures, or equipment in offices, retail spaces, or hotels with hollow partitions.
Specialty Surfaces: Effective in lightweight masonry, fiberboard, or composite materials where solid anchoring points are absent.
